Breast Cancer Walk at NECCS: Walking Together for a Cure!
At Newark Educators Community Charter School (NECCS), we believe that health awareness is just as important as academic learning! This year, we’re proud to participate in the Breast Cancer Walk, raising awareness and supporting the fight against breast cancer for our entire school community.
During the walk, students from Pre-K through 4th grade, alongside staff and families, will join together to show their support for breast cancer survivors and those currently fighting the disease. We’ll learn about the importance of early detection, healthy habits, and how small actions can make a big difference in the fight for a cure!
Here’s what we’re focusing on:
Breast Cancer Awareness: Understanding the importance of awareness and support.
Healthy Habits: How living a healthy lifestyle can reduce risk.
Community Support: How our actions can positively impact those affected.
Early Detection: Why regular check-ups and self-exams are important.
Families are encouraged to talk to their children about the importance of health, wellness, and supporting those in need. By coming together as a community, we can raise awareness and make a real impact!
Let’s unite to support the fight against breast cancer at NECCS! 🎀💖
