Mr. Flanagan has served as the principal of a 378 student STEM Academy in Brooklyn, NY, and as an Instructional Coach in NJ. In these roles, Mr. Flanagan has worked with students and teachers to improve instruction and learning, developed new programs, and provided opportunities for students
to grow as leaders and scholars.
Mr. Flanagan feels a deep connection to N.E.C.C.S. He served as an administrative intern at N.E.C.C.S. during his master’s degree program at Montclair State University and has never lost sight of the school. Mr. Flanagan looks forward to developing relationships with all families, staff members, and students.

Mr. Flanagan holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. He is a Doctoral Candidate with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. Mr. Flanagan is certified in the State of New Jersey as a School Administrator, Principal, Supervisor, and Teacher in grades K-6 and 5-8 Science and Social Studies. Mr. Flanagan is certified in the State of New York as a School District Leader and School Building Leader..
