At NECCS... Professional Development is...
The teacher's willingness to come together and share best practices of what we know and how we can grow in our own practice.
It is comprised of the administrators, as instructional leaders, coaches and teachers creating and clarifying common language to increase our understanding of effective instructional practices.
It’s the spirit of ongoing learning through grade level meetings, faculty meetings, after-school planning sessions, video coaching sessions, book study groups and outside workshop sessions on specific topics that teachers identify for their personal growth.
It’s self-learning and grade team knowledge that is evolving yearly.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.” - Aristotle
